Virtual Office

Unified Connectivity for Teleworkers and Mobile Employees

  • Unify your mobile and home-based workforce with one seamless solution
  • Extend broadband access to teleworkers across the U.S., Canada and the UK
  • Simplify procurement, access management, support and billing

The virtual office is fast becoming the norm, as today's workforce chooses to work from home, at client sites or wherever they happen to be. High-speed Internet services such as cable and DSL allow home-based employees to be very productive. However, supporting workplace flexibility creates new challenges for IT staff who must manage multiple vendor relationships to provision home broadband service across multiple carriers while still providing employees with mobile access.

Enter iPass Virtual Office. This first-of-its-kind service combines iPass Managed Network Services in the home with the iPass Mobile Office remote connectivity service-both accessible through a single, intuitive interface. iPass Virtual Office provides benefits that simply aren't available through cable and DSL service providers alone, such as:

Unmatched Coverage and Simplicity

  • Comprehensive coverage. iPass consolidates broadband services from more than 160 cable and DSL providers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
  • The world's largest remote access network. Mobile employees gain access across 165 countries to Wi-Fi hotspots, wired Ethernet locations, dial-up access, 3G mobile broadband, GSM, ISDN and PHS networks.
  • Simplicity for end users. A single client connects users at home and from the road using the same username and password.
  • Professional design and managed deployment. iPass designs a customized solution for your applications, security needs and technology requirements. Project Managers then coordinate the deployment and delivery of each pre-configured wireless home broadband device and secure client interface, limiting user frustration and downtime.

A New Level of Service Management

  • Remote access management. Simplify remote access management by reducing your number of providers. IT staff benefit from aggregated connectivity, iPass-managed Wi-Fi gateways, the iPass Portal, and a single, consolidated bill for all remote and mobile access.
  • Service level agreements and reporting. A comprehensive SLA tracks performance targets, while service level management reports provide valuable insights into service availability, performance and the user experience.
  • Support. Around-the-clock customer care, technical support and online tools provide access to consolidated ordering information, billing and customer care ticket detail.

Managed Network Services Portal

  • Maintain complete control. The Managed Network Services Portal allows you to track all aspects of your network at any time.
  • Ordering. Enable your end users to submit orders electronically via the Managed Network Services Portal link to speed up ordering, enable administrator approvals, and allow everyone to follow the progress of any order in real time. Site information is also available on installed sites such as dynamic IP address information.
  • Trouble tickets. You can follow the progress being made to resolve any outstanding issues. Trouble tickets or cases can be opened for service problems and customers can view the status of opened and closed cases.
  • Ad hoc reports. Remain in control of your Virtual Office connections, with the ability to run various ad hoc reports.
  • Invoices. Electronic copies of the invoices are available on the Managed Network Services Portal each month.
