Calling All Cars

In Warren County, Ohio, more than 200 police cars, fire trucks and emergency vehicles rely on mobile PCs and Endpoint Policy Management every day. Each mobile device uses whatever wireless network is available to automatically poll for updates to maps, anti-virus definition files, building plans, school camera views and more. If a critical update is found, the client automatically begins downloading it over the fastest connection available. In fact, Warren County uses the iPass solution to distribute up-to-date versions of its most wanted list onto every mobile unit via the best available wireless connection.

iPass itself uses this feature to push up-to-date marketing collateral and business intelligence to every sales person's notebook PC.
